Greek-French Master Programs

Biodiversity Conservation (BIODIV)

The University of the Aegean (Department of Environmental Studies and Department of Marine Sciences) and the University Montpellier II (Laboratoire des Ecosystemes Lagunaires - ECOLAG) have taken charge of the direction, coordination and organization of a Greek-French Master Program in "Biodiversity Conservation" (BIODIV), which leads to the award of a specialization Master's degree. This program started running for the first time in the academic year 2007-2008.

Teaching Methodology of Multilingualism

In the general context of the European integration, of the E.U. enlargement and of the progressively increasing challenges, because of the contact between multilingual and multicultural groups, new research and training fields are offered, preparative to the achievement of a smooth integration of children (native and foreigner) into a multicultural and multilingual environment, preparative to the development of positive attitudes towards diversity and of those competences that will enable each individual to perform his/her functions as a citizen.

Specialized Public Law

The Department of Public Law of the School of Law and Economics and Political Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the University Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV have taken charge of the direction, coordination and organization of a one-year Greek-French Master Program which leads to the award of a Specialization Master's degree in Public Law.  This program started running for the first time in the academic year 2006-2007. Moreover, a co-supervised Ph.D. degree in Specialized Public Law can also be awarded, which extends over six semesters after graduation from the Specialization Master's Degree program. Joint post-graduate programs are actions that aim at the development academic, scientific and cultural projects through student and academic staff exchange.

Translation Sciences-Traductology and Cognitive Sciences (TRASCO)

The Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University and the University of Caen Basse-Normandie have taken charge of the direction, coordination and organization of a Greek-French Master Program in "Translation Sciences - Traductology and Cognitive Sciences", which leads to the award of a joint specialization Master's degree. This program has been running since the academic year 2003-2004.

Population, Development, Foresight (PODEPRO)

The Laboratory of Demographic and Social Analyses (LDSA) - (University of Thessaly, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Planning and Regional Development) and the Institute of Demographic Studies (University Montesqiueu-Bordeaux IV (IEDUB) have taken charge of the direction, coordination and organization of a Greek-French Master Program "Population, Development, Foresight", which leads to the award of a specialization Master's degree. This program started running for the first time in the academic year 2005-2006.

Informatics

The Departments of Informatics of three Universities (Department of Computer Science of the University of Crenoble I, Departement Informatique de l' Universite Paris-Sud XI) have taken charge of the direction, coordination and organization of a Greek-French Master Program in Informatics, which leads to the award of a joint specialization Master's degree, while the possibility of awarding a joint Ph.D. under co-supervision is under approval.

Territorial Dynamimics and Rural Planning DYNTAR

The Laboratory of Rural Areas (University of Thessaly, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Planning and Regional Development) and the Research Center CERAMAC (University Blaise Pascal of Clermont-Ferrand, Department of Geography) have taken charge of the direction, coordination and organization of a Greek-French Master Program in "Territorial Dynamics and Rural Planning", with the acronym DYNTAR, which leads to the award of a specialization Master's degree. This program started running for the first time in the academic year 2004-2005.
